Do you download eBooks and then forget to read them? Or start but never finish? Or forget where you were since there is no bookmark feature in Acrobat Reader?

I do that too. And I wish that there was a way to keep track of it all. It got me to thinking, "What if there was an email reminder every day to get me back on track?" That idea grew into this -- Guided Readthroughs.

The idea is pretty simple. I pick a book that I can share with you and break it into managable chunks. Then you sign up for an email (either daily or weekly) and you'll get an email reminder to let you know what section to read that day.

It also allows me to share my commentary on each section as well as share other resources and tips with you.

The first book that I've chosen for this is focus -- a simplicity manifesto in the Age of Distraction. It was written by Leo Babauta (of Zen Habits fame). It is an excellent resource for anyone who is frustrated with the busyness and distractions of modern life. It leads you through ways to stay focused and still keep in touch with the world around you.

While the ebook is over 120 pages long, it is an easy book to read and full of valuable information and techniques that you can use to make your life simpler, less stressful and more rewarding.

Join me in this guided readthrough.

  • The book has been broken down into managable sections (usually a chapter at a time although long chapters are split)
  • You'll get an email either daily or weekly (your choice) with a link to the chapter as well as my commentary and other resources
  • The book has practical techniques that you can use to get control of your time and shut out the distractions

Daily or Weekly?

Now all you need to do is choose whether you want to sign up for daily or weekly readthroughs.
